Windows 7 Administrator account can control other user accounts, software installation and un-installation, network updates, etc. If you forgot Windows 7 password, you can use the 3 solutions listed below to reset the password, giving you access to your admin account.
Solution 1: Use another administrator account
As everybody knows, administrator user is able to reset the password of other user accounts, including your built-in administrator account. Log on your laptop with another administrator, and then click Start, right-clicking Computer to select Manage to access the Computer Management Window, where you can reset Windows 7 password.
Solution 2: Use password reset disk
Windows 7 feature allows you to reset the password of an administrator account if you have forgotten it. If you forgot Windows 7 admin password, just click the Reset password link that will display under the administrator password box after you enter a wrong password to follow the instructions to do Windows 7 admin password.
Note: you need to remember to set up the password-reset disk before losing the password; otherwise this method won’t work.
